Unknown button center console + delete

Hi,

Who knows what this button or light on my center console is used for?
The wires run to the back of my car under the carpet.
It doesn't seem to be standard, as I haven't seen it on other images and searching on the web.

I want to delete it, just as the center console, I just removed all the AC stuff.
The only thing left is the hole you can see on the picture.
Is it bad that it's open for a while? I assume the only thing that was running true was the wiring between the AC knobs and the evaporator.

Probably a 3rd party alarm light that blinks when it's active. The hole is where your AC temp knob was.

Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

That is exactly what our's was. Looked the same in the exact same location, until I removed it.

It was still something from the aftermarket alarm.
The wire was already disconnected at the end
