Porsche Crest What color is this "first" 911?

Taken recently at the New York Museum of Contemporary Art...

I heard it was slate grey and belongs to Seinfeld.

Talk to Brett Johnson about the color and color number.

It is a one off - special - metalic black with a gold flec. Looks grey, looks green, depending on lights.

When researching his book on Authenticity Dr. Johnson was able to verify it was this color. The color number was carried on the books but only Ferry's car was painted that color at the factory.

The special paint looks to be the reason this car #49 was off the production line for weeks. It was the 83rd car to come off the production line and the first entry to be a Type 911. Double special - Ferry's car, first 911.
