Need I.D. confirmation on engine fan case

… I have had this forever, and always thought it is a 245 mm engine propeller case for a 1979 turbo but the parts books says otherwise … here is a couple photos ….

Post Edit: O.K. just found this graph and appears to be fairly complete. So if this is for a mid 70 european 3.0 and if the alternator depth is O.K. all I would need is a 245 propellor and a larger 83mm fan pulley to mount it on my 1979 3.0. Only thing is I believe my alternator has an internal regulator and may not fit this case …. anyone in the know …. ?

internal regulator will fit. I can't tell if you have the deeper cut shroud for the 70amp alternator that's the one you need.

In order to use the alternator you have you need a 19mm thick seat for the alternator on the back of the fan housing. The earlier alternators used about 25mm thick back for the alternator to sit on.

… well I got around to attempting the measurements of what I have … according to the chart I figure that : (1) lip to alternator mount face - This must be the outer round lip measured with a straight edge down to the mounting face where the alternator attaches to it's mount but what does " hub nose to mount face " mean … ? So what is the "hub nose" … and apparently it needs to be a greater distance than the lip to the alt mount …. ?
