My first guess would be the DME relay. I had the exact symptoms and assumed the relay was good because the car started and ran, however it would intermittently cut out. I would get a new relay. Its advisable to carry a spare anyway.

You mentioned water / moisture in a couple of posts.
When he was still with us, Dad would come over to our house see grandkids in The Machine. On rainy days he insisted on parking indoors in my garage b/c if car was left outside in the rain, he would have trouble starting and driving home. After he passed, I read that moisture can cause his symptoms and a solution is to replace all spark plugs, SP wires, distributor cap and rotor. So I did all that, and never had his problem since. Those are easy to do yourself. If you have the problem after that, I agree - time to let Hans with the funny accent have a look at her, for $120/hr.
