Is this available separately?

Way to go, insurance company / bodyshop! Changed the rear brake bulbs and found on one side that the diffuser thing is missing. I really dislike other people working on my car!

Anyhow, is this part available separately from the entire expensive housing?

I don't even know quite what to refer to it as, a light diffuser plate?

Why did you let the garbage man tell you where to have dinner?

You're referring to the dish shaped circle thing behind your LED bulb? Or an actual translucent diffuser like this:

Anyway, I don't think that is a separately available part. Just going from memory, those diffusers I believe are glued on, though mine appear to be kinda clean behind so maybe not.

Thanks for the help... I should've taken a pic of the other lens housing to show the part in question. The photo I posted shows where the missing piece should be.

The part I'm looking for is a square-shaped frosted white plastic light diffuser that snaps over the light fixture and is held in with a metal tab.

Cheers!

I got a super clean prism from partsheaven.
Canada Kev, I relly like your white lens housings. There are certain aspects I really dig on euro cars.

Thank-you. The most obvious visual differences are the lighting, and then the higher compression engine. I suspect that with the white tail light housings, they might be a bit brighter than the NA versions due to better light reflection. Another thing about the euro cars is that they're often spec'd differently. Mine has very few options and those it does have mostly seem to be geared towards performance: spoilers, sunroof delete, sport seats and no cruise come to mind. Yes it has AC, but other than that and the plush trunk liner, that's it. It's actually very similar to the Club Sports, down to the Porsche Cloth upholstery on the seats. And the Swiss market only gear ratios in the G50.

And it's good to know those diffusers are available from the dismantlers. I just had my lights apart a few months ago but I guess my memory is a little less than optimal. I should probably try less beer in the garage, but that seems a bit extreme...
