Early turbo? tail help/input please....
have a decklid/wing and trying to sort out what it is. has a part number on the rubber that comes up as a 930 tail rubber, and maybe a date code? the 474? nothing on the tail though. it's got a metal frame with a glass spoiler. an extra opening with a grill. I thought that grill was a cut-down engine grill but is a bit different. regular engine grill with a wiper hole. any thoughts? did a search but tough to find much. thanks

You can't identify tail by the rubber and topside only. Share pictures of the underside, please.

He said it has a metal frame - almost certainly legit. Part number should be stamped on the central "brace". Congratulations - a very valuable piece, especially with the nice looking rubber and seemingly original secondary grille (look at the ends of the "bars" on the grille - you can easily tel if it's just a hacked up main grille by the finish of the ends).

Oh, OK. I saw that as well. Wasn't clear if the fiberglass was cut to allow the flow of the second grill, or if the A/C condenser was mounted underneath, or if he had the cowl or inside panel.

thanks for the input. found the number on the inside. secondary grill definitely not cut, can't find a number on it though.

nice find ! we have an extra black fiberglass oem duct and a/c condenser that would fit the secondary grill area. Might have the metal cover panel too
That will make for a valuable combination we can partner on selling ;-)

That's the same secondary grill I had on my 76 930 to the A/C condenser.
There was a inner cover that covered the condenser to the fan keeping the cool air coming across the condenser. Bruce |

Thanks for the underside pictures. My tail ends in .01 and is in this thread: What tail is this and could it be original? In the same thread, others were discussing a tail that ended in .00 like yours, possibly from a 75 Turbo.
