We are rebuilding a 1973.5 CIS engine and found the CIS injectors (911 110 355 01 or Bosch 0 437502 002) would not clean up and are now looking to replace them. As they appear only to be available from Porsche for over $1,000 we are wondering if there is an optional injector (VW, Audi?) that may work. The original injectors are shorter than the ones in the 74 and later cars.
Anyone found a solution to this problem? Could double seals be used on the longer 74 injectors?
Any help appreciated.
