How Many Tools Does It Take To Strip Down Your 911?
Question:
How Many Tools Does It Take To Strip Down Your 911 to get it ready for sand blasting? Answer: All of your Craftsman tools and all of your Snap-ONs too. You might as well throw in your great grandpa's hammer, I did. These pics are of the aftermath... post tool cleaning and 1972 911T ready for the cleaning.

You're not going to sand blast that whole thing, are you?!? There are other ways to strip it that won't damage and warp the body.

To put it back together you need a torque wrench and hopefully fewer hammers.

Actually it is getting dipped, and then only the rusty parts will be sand blasted. No outside panels will be blasted.

I admire the fact that you are completely stripping it down. I would be afraid of all those electrical thingies that all look the same and where do they go back

don't see any of the Porsche specific tools there. Gonna need to buy what you don't have. Multi cases of beer project. About a billion rags and equal number of gloves.
Should keep you busy for awhile. Chris |

If you don't want to put it back together, you need only one tool: a cutting torch.

Awesome. Pretty good idea and interesting to see all the tools needed to strip it down. If anyone is looking to do theirs and are missing a few tools from their garage be sure to scope out our catalog below. Thanks for sharing!

How many tools? Way too many to list. I have collected them over the last 20 years working on Porsche.
