Anyone Try New Factory G50 Spring Plates?

Does anyone have experiences with the new factory replacement spring plates? Thinking about biting the bullet on them.

I am also curious if they actually have ones for G50 since they seem to show the same part number for the 915 cars as well. Thanks.

The spring plates themselves are the same 915/G50, but the torsion bar retainers (tube part) are different. The retainer and plate come together to make the assembly. 91133300902 is the G50 assembly, 91133300900 is the assembly for 915s.

Can't comment on the latest factory replacements, but I would ask why you think you need new ones? They are pretty indestructible. If the appearance is shady (corrosion, etc.) you can have them blasted and re-plated and they will look as good as new, at a fraction of the cost. If they are bent or similarly damaged, that's another story. Just my $.02.

Lyle, thanks for the clarification on the parts. My original spring plates are in good shape, but I mainly wanted to buy new factory spring plates for the rubber bushings.

I am assuming the new factory spring plate bushings are still vulcanized like the original. Can anyone confirm?

yes. but again: absolutely no need to buy the whole thing just because of the vulcanized bushing.
