do you have drop engine to change s/plugs in a 930?

the guy selling the '78 i looked at said that was the case, but that they didn't need changing again for a lot of miles.

is that correct?
how long between changes?

i'm asking because i usually do my own servicing.

are these cars hard to work on because of all the "plumbing" in the way?

Do not need to pull the engine, that said, it is a hell of a lot easier if it is.

Of course, you can also change the plugs on a 993 with the engine in the car - 20 minutes to remove the first 11, and 3 hours to remove #12.

With a few components removed, the right combination of wrenches, U-joints, and extensions, you can get them out.

I've done it without the drop. A yoga class helps, but it's certainly possible. I've found that removing the intercooler makes it easier, and this only takes 5-10 minutes to do...

Its not bad, remove the I/C and airbox and its pretty easy. maybe 2 hrs tops. Good luck

I agree with the others. It should not be necessary. For just about anything I need to do, the intercooler comes out. I could probably do that blindfolded now! Just a couple of bolts/hoses to remove it.

Not impossible without a drop....had real issues getting to the plug behind the turbo without removing the big hose off the turbo up to the intercooler.The heaterhose was also in the way Very tight.

if the left side gulp valve and hoses are removed, along with the I/C, it's a lot easier.
