Sierra Madre Collection has them, but they make your lights less effective.

you can also get films that go on like vinyl or window tint .. just peel stick squeegee and a bit of heat at the curves and you have the look .. and is reversible very quickly ..

You don't show in the left side your location .. but if you are in most of (I AM NOT 100% SO CHECK LOCAL LAW) the United States you can not have any forward facing lights the are considered "headlight" or "Driving Lights" on a motor vehicle .. the only exception to that is the front blinkers may be amber .........

You can also paint inside the lens using stained glass paint, I haven't done it yet but considering it myself.
See this thread for other leads:

Hello,

The yellow lens it is an original BOSCH Part. Number is 1305614011. You can order the part at your Bosch dealer. I found a french online Store here at: bosch
they sell each for 74,15 €. The will fit for H4 lights - I think the H4 lights will be slightly darker compared to H4 white. But compared to the sealed beam they will be an improvement...

I've done the glass tint with a rattle can. Works well.

I wouldn't buy warm spit from Sierra Madre......

Joe Bob,
How long has it lasted? Any issues with cops? I'm doing an orange IROC with hood-mounted Cibie Oscars and debating the yellow H4 lens. The car will be used infrequently on the street but it will be cop-bait and any reason to write me a ticket.

I did it on my 2.2/6 powered 356C. Like front license plates it all depends on the cop. I ran them for two years w/o an issue.

Question

Why would anyone want yellow headlights?
That was the law in France and I had to live with lesser than adequate lighting for years while other European countries used "white" headlights.
Are you going for a "look" at the detriment of safety?

I'm creating a "rally-look" IROC tribute 911, it's primarily a track-car which will be used occasionally on Sundays so yes, it's a look thing. I will rarely, if ever, have a need to drive it at night and on the back-roads of Eastern PA, I can always turn on the Cibies.

Depending on how gullible the cop is, you could always claim the Cibies are your main lights and it's a 'Rally Car' thing implying that the cop is clueless....

I like the look too, but not the limited lighting it provides.
In the case of a track car such as yours I'd say: Nice!
On the road... different story. I had a very scary episode in the Alps...

been stopped once talked my way out of the ticket. "amber headlights were legal in washington in 1970"

yes the light is a little dimmer but fine in the fog/rain if aimed correctly. fine on high beams. have seperate 100w driving lights when the situation requires me to blind/burn bugs at nite.

used the stained glass paint from crylon on the outside with onle a few chips. easier to apply on outside of lens.

The easiest way to do it is to put yellow covers that fit over the H4 bulb.
If you decide to return to the white light you just take the covers off.

This is the link to the company that sells those.

+1 on the question why yellow lenses? Just because France made them a law at one time? I never saw any in Germnany and the lighting is dimmer! WHY??

I fully agree that the look is way cool ... with certain colors it just seems to look correct ... although with some it looks just pain wrong ...

But the poster is not looking for yellow light emitting from his lights .. he is looking for the look so the balloons and bulbs are not gonna do it ....

I was just wanting you to make sure you did not dive in with out being at least warned about the legal-eze of the yellow .. but it is a cop to cop choice like JoeBob said sort of along with window tint .. wife has it on her car (dark) for five years no issues at all .. I tint mine (not the Porsche's) and within the week am pulling it off and cleaning windows

I think this 911 is way beyond cool and is the color scheme I'm going with and why I'm considering it. It's personal choice, just like some people like duck-tails and some like tea-trays and some like no tail.
To the OP, don't listen to the naysayers, it's your car so do whatever you want.

I too think yellow headlights look great. Too bad it's illegal.

I may still do it
