My calipers arrived yesterday. They are 964 C2 calipers which have the 2-pot rears rather than 4-pot. I am wondering if there is any real benefit in using these rather than the 3.2 rears. Anyone know what the diameter of the 964 2-pot pistons are? Will the bias be way out if I remove the PV and run 3.2 rear and 964 front? It seems a physically bigger caliper than the 3.2 but I have barely had a chance to open the package yet so meaningful comparisons will have to wait. Pictures to follow at the weekend. Richard |

Many thanks Kevin, I looked at Bill's homepage but not his Pelican Page - my bad.
As the 3.2 rear caliper is a 42mm piston it seems that there is little benefit to changing to the 44mm piston C2 caliper (once the PV is removed). By my calcs the move towards more front bias is small ie less than 10% if you stick with the rear 3.2 caliper compared with the 964 2-pot caliper. Anyone disagree? Richard |
