Speedometer and wipers didn't work
Hi,
Last week I drove with my 911 SC (1980) and the speedometer and windshieldwipers weren't working. After I parked the car and started after half an hour the speedo and wipers came to life again... I checked the wiring diagram and couldn't find a common spot, except the ignition switch (pet-number: 91161301701). Could the ignition switch be the culprit? That due to aging it sometimes fails? And for replacing I see 2 approaches: - removing the entire assambly by drilling the break-away bolts: Pelican tech article - Only replacing the switch-part by diving behind the dashboard: Youtube-video Which do you recommend? So in fact 2 questions: - Is the ignition switch the root cause of the problem - How to replace it as easy as possible? Thanks for your replies!

Just went thur the same problem. You have a burnt out wire some were which requires an electrical tech. Took about 3 to 4 hours to fix https://notresponding.net/windows-media-player-not-working/

Does somebody else knows what's the issue is?
I can't imagine that it's a burned wire because then it would never work, isn't?
