how to take out the pedal assembly please?

hello anyone can chime in on how to dis-assemble the pedal assembly from the car? i have a 81 sc targa So I can clean it up. thanks

I sent about 10 minutes writing a "How to" for you, then on checking a small fact I remembered Wayne had posted a how to on Pelican, so here it is....

A tip for making the job easier is disconnect both the flat bar and the long round rod at the top and remove the cluster with both pieces attached. Mark the angle of the flat bar and reassemble the same. Reinstall the assembly same as removed.

one question i do have is how to take it out from the floor pan? is it just two screws in front of the pedals or is it also the two screws on the fire-wall? thanks

Two more bolts from UNDER the car.
