Question SC PMOs - Heater options?

Been lurking here a long time. Thanks for all the info all these years.

I'm installing a set of PMOs on a SC that I'm rebuilding. Obviously there's no longer a home for the blower. I've seen photos that seem to use the early style tins on both sides of the fan, but I'm not sure what fan housing they're using.

Can I source early style "hot air sockets" and install them on the existing (1980) fan housing?

I believe the PMO instructions reference JB racing for tins, but they're web site is a bit vague.

What solutions has the community come up with?

Thank you.

That is what questions are for.

Only a handful are experts here and they probably cut their teeth when Reagan was President.

Actually, when Lyndon Johnson was President.

Don't, took me a while to figure out the Advance Search:

i.e. if you type PMO and Heat and choose Search Entire Post you get: Pelican Parts Technical BBS - Search Results

Guess who's post is on top???

No worries, figured I’d give you a bunch to read as I was at work and didn’t have time to type an answer.

No it's the original. It's just painted with clearcoat that has marmorized.

Thanks for all the replies.

Litle brother, that's a beautiful engine you have there. I've seen it many times while researching this build.

I'm noticing all most of the backdating threads I see are builds that don't have A/C. This car has a/c still, just not working now or in the near future. It looks like the bank 2 engine tin clears the a/c bracket, but the ducting doesn't? This post seems to support that.

Also I like this DIY setup here. I like how it uses the exsisting duct. I'm not a fabricator though.

The engine is still on the stand. Trying to get as much of the Carb set up done before I put the engine back in. Also I'm not entirely sure the A/C compressor and condenser will clear the PMO's and filter assemblies. We'll see.

Thanks again.

That is an awesome PMO set up.
Gotta ask; Engine mounted Coil assembly vibration isolation, how and what?

None. These DFU's are fully "poted". Had mine mounted directly on the engine quite a few years back with no problem.

"In electronics, potting is a process of filling a complete electronic assembly with a solid or gelatinous compound for resistance to shock and vibration, and for exclusion of moisture and corrosive agents. Thermosetting plastics or silicone rubber gels are often used."
