Porsche uses metric tools......
That adjustable wrench is not even metric.

I think those are definitely US dealer issued, came with an increased price tag if I remember correctly...where's the car that goes with them tho?

I do like that thing. A German adj. wrench with inch sizing stamped on. I even like the brand name "DUNLAP". Quick check on e-bay, most Dunlaps there are made in USA, an early Sears brand before Craftsman. Had no idea.

A tolerable error given the time window.
It's clearly the factory Kermit Palzer adjustment tool for tightening the material on the seats of the Levi's Gremlin.

There actually was a Levi Gremlin circa 1975?

Absolutely.
Daily Turismo: Levi's Edition: 1975 AMC Gremlin X Without periodic re-application of the tightening sequence for the Kermit Palzer denim integrity system (KPDI) the driver would wallow in the seats in high force lateral maneuvers. Never, ever, would (or will) you see a Gremlin at Laguna Seca without the subject wrench and a set of fabric tension dial indicators.

A very handy tool, but only if it's metric. Got two 450mm long ones for the right rear oil line fittings. 32 and 36mm.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!! So this means that during "high force lateral maneuvers," once the KPDI was tightened the driver wouldn't...?

It's a GM tool specific to high performance Corvettes.

See the Side Bolster Anti-Wallow (SBAW) seat supports on the 75 (the most robust year as many in-the-know say). Comparable and/or exceeding any Porsche sport seat with the faux factory German (AMC) bolsters.

Were they based in Dunlap, Michigan? Guy who bought my Boxster, a Pelican’s son, is in Dunlap.

I have yet to hear that this is a left handed only wrench. Will not work in your right hand.

ok, there's general consensus that this Dunlap of Germany DFS adj. wrench is correct for a pre-A 356 and I'm sitting on a 1of 53 Holy Grail of Porsche Tools.

I never guess old tool values because of my ignorance regarding "10000 volt screwdrivers". Still don't understand them. Would make a great forum name.
