Tint window question

For those who have tinted windows -Did you go full tint all way around minus windshield(due to law) or did you interchange your degrees of tint e.g. 50% front driver and passenger and 35% for the rest of the car....if you can share what you did and what percentage tint you used...that would be helpful....I know states vary on what can be tinted and by how much.....not interested in the law per se...just wanted to get an idea of what is out there and how it looks....Photo's would be great...Thanks in advance!

I'm not a fan of tint as much as I used to be, sometimes hard to see at night.
Not sure of the %, all the same including the back glass, looks better to me.
Totally illegal in Ca. moved to Florida, mods accepted here.

Zero for me. The car came with tint all around except windshield. I had it all professionally removed when all the windows were out. I hated it at night.

tinted targa

Ive got windows you can see out but cant nobody see in. Shop that did it wrote me a receipt that its 35% (Legal limit here) , rear window tint was necessary on the Targa as summer sun is brutal here in the Midwest

Funny, I had a 1970 MGB GT that I had all the windows tinted in Mexico (Including the windshield) Green, car was British Racing green, Never had an issue at night (but I was younger then)

I was never a fan of tint myself, however the car I purchased came with tint(albeit) very old tint...so I will have it professionally removed and drive with out it until late spring....another important note, my AC needs to overhauled and or replaced (1985-911 small vents unlike the 1986 model and later ), so while I can drive without tint during the winter here in South Carolina, I need to look beyond the season as Summer is extremely brutal and will have to pony up $$ for a Griffith AC upgrade....like some suggested, I like visibility and perhaps will have a lighter shade of tint for the driver and passenger window and dark for the rear window....more to follow

You can get clear tint now that blocks a tremendous amount of UV. I have that on all my windshields. Darker tint on side/rear windows of some cars and clear all the way around on others.

Blocks UV light AND heat. It's almost clear and it works as advertised in my very informal qualitative testing: in the sun, it's cooler behind the glass than in front.

But if the darker windows look is what you want, in the other vehicles that I have had tinted, I went with the same level on all the windows (not windshield) but at a lighter level than the cop magnet super dark stuff. My last was 35% I believe. Shoulda used something a bit lighter but this isn't too bad. If one gets down to the 20% and darker, it really does make night time viewing suck. And it's dark up here a lot in the winter.
