Another way to search the forum

Since Search on the site is fubar, here is a convoluted alternative that works. DONT JUST TRY THE LINK!

Try this search created by another member. You will need to copy/paste into your browser search and delete the space between : and o. When pasting the URL here without the space it becomes this emoticon and doesn’t work. When you get the the search page save it to your browser.

If you get a %20 between : and o delete it and hit Go

I always just use:

site:forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/ heavy metal

Replace heavy metal with whatever you're looking for.

I have found that I just go to Google and type my search and include Pelican. Works great. AND if you are looking for diagrams click on IMAGES.

Yup, I contacted Dmitry and he stated:

“ we apologize for the inconvenience. Those were really old diagrams that came from Porsche, but our legal team recently told us that we have to take them down. I believe Porsche has them available on their site; or is working on having them there.”

(I remember it taking some fooling around to not get an emoticon.)

One advantage of this custom search over the "site:forums..." version is that the custom search crawls through both the 911 tech forum and the engine rebuilding forum.
