Thanks to the following authors...
Peter Zimmerman and Randy Leffingwell, for taking the mystery out of buying a used Porsche.
And thanks to Wayne Dempsey, for taking some of the mystery out of DIY. Those 101 projects look like fun. Because of these books, I can hang out with you guys and actually sound like I know something, even though I really don't. Now, on to the garage, where that non-functional clock needs to come out of the dash, courtesy of Wayne.

Thats how I started, went to fix the clock and ended up painting my car and enlarging the engine....my clock still doesn't work.

Next up on the required reading should be Carroll Smith's "Prepare to Win" and "Tune to Win".
It is amazing that books copyrighted in 75 and 78 can hold up so well over time.

The thing about my clock is it works intermittently, so I cant just set it the hands to 12 or 9:11, it just changes to something stupid. It has come down to me vs. the clock, like me vs. time. I dont have to fix it if I dont want to, it doesn't change anything, time is what it is, regardless of what my car says. Last month I rebuilt my spare distributor and removed the vacuum pod, and locked the vacuum advance plate, according to my cars clock it only took me 13 minutes. One day I drove around the entire island in 7 minutes.

My point exactly, if I fixed the clock it would have taken a couple hours at least. You might want to hold off on fixing the clock, and do some other projects first.
