What does the engine gasket set include?

I have several oil leaks which are bugging me at the moment, so we are going to drop the engine out to sort them out, and put on a new exhaust system.

We replaced the internal oil cooler seals, but they aren't in properly or they haven't taken as it is still leaking from there. Also the front cam covers are leaking as well.

Does the engine gasket set that pelican parts sells include all the various gaskets required to seal these things up? (cam cover gaskets, oil cooler seals, etc)?

Dana,
A cylinder head gasket set (or top end gasket set) will include gaskets for everything short of the case. It will include cylinder base base gaskets and valve stem seals for example. You might be better off just buying the gaskets you need if all you are doing is resealing the motor.

Leaks in that area can come from above (oil pressure switch, thermostat O-ring), cylinder base gasket or if you are unlucky, from a leak in the case itself right behind the oil cooler. This motor had leaks from all four places.

Thanks Chris. I believe that the oil seals maybe the culprits here. When we had the engine out I went about replacing the internal thermostat, the o-ring for it, the pressure warning switch (notorious for leaking) and the oil cooler seals (3). Interesting we had no leaks before hand, and plenty now!

The other baffling one is the front of the chain tensioners housing is leaking it seems. Oh well!!
