rear sway bar bushing problem
Hi pelicans.
I bought original bushes for the 18mm sway bar on my SC. But the bushes have only 15 mm holes, so I ordered another set but the same problem only 15 mm. The number is 477411313N When i google this number it say 18 mm. Have others had the same problem? I also bought new bushings for the front 20 mm and they fit perfectly. ![]() ![]()

They're supposed to be like that, at least that is what I found when I researched mine. Squeeze them in and go!

sway bar
Hello.
I'm not quite comfortable using these 15 mm. I thought there was too much resistance in the sway bar and are afraid that over time they will scream. I have today bought the old model before 77 'in 18 mm and associated hangers, they fit perfectly but are a little narrower so I have to mount a rubber disk between the sway bar and the bush. I am most comfortable with this solution. Thanks to those who have made suggestions. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ups, it does not work.
The brackets on SC are not the same as before the 77's I do not accept to squeeze rubber so much. so I will try to drill the bushing out. maybe a very sharp drill in a lathe.

If you think the ID is too small, you might try opening it up a tad with some sandpaper wrapped around a dowel or other cylindrical object with an appropriate ID.
When I have used these kinds of bushings, I have greased them up with an appropriate product and made sure that the ARB can spin really easily... but my application is racing. I don't want any bind at all. If I recall correctly, some companies, like perhaps Pparagon Products, sell ARB bushings of alternative materials. I think some of the early versions of alternative materials were developed by Weltmeister and sold by Automotion. If I recall correctly, Dwight Mitchell worked on this with Weltmeister/Automotion. These is another thread on these forums about Dwight and his 911. Anyway, for the factory rubber bushing, I might try a bit of sandpaper first.
