Recommendation - recondition & anodize window frames

Looking for a place that can recondition and re-anodize bright aluminum window frames and quarter windows for a 1973 911. Does anyone have a good recommendation in terms of quality, reasonable turnaround and good price? Thanks

If you research here, you can find a few threads on this. I can think of at least two places that do this kind of restoration work, which are Kong of Trim and Tru-6. King of Trim is probably closer to you, but I don't think the shipping will be that much more if you go with Tru-6.

I'm currently having Tru-6 do mine and don't have experience with K of T other than inquiries. Between these two, it seems that the price is close. Tru-6 was a less expensive option a couple years ago when I first inquired about the price for this service but then increased price to be competitive with K of T after I pulled the trigger.

As far as timing goes, K of T estimated 8 weeks but doesn't guarantee this turnaround. Tru-6 said nobody has waited more than 4 months, but I can tell you that I am still waiting on my job after making my restoration deposit more than 10 months ago. I haven't received my assembled frames/windows yet and at this point not sure when they'll be done. Your inquiry is a good reminder that I'll need to follow up with Shaun on the status. Point being that K of T may be a better choice if you need the frames back quicker.

On quality, Shaun convinced me that his restoration process is better so I went with Tru-6, but it seems that many people on this forum are also satisfied with K of T. I can't attest to the quality of Tru-6 yet since I haven't seen the frames yet but Shaun has posted pictures of other jobs here. Haven't seen K of T pictures either. Hope that helps.
