After having taken out the fan for cleaning, I looked around behind where the fan sits - and discovered an oil leak i don't like the looks of (red circle). There's an equal leak on the underside.
![]() I have never run this engine myself, however compression tested high and equal on all cylinders. It's a RoW -82 3.0L Should I worry about this? How MUCH should I worry about it... Can it be a snapped headstud? Please say no.. (I have had all of the cam covers off and nothing is loose) Do I need to have it fixed or should I go ahead and put the engine in the car? ------------------ 1972 911S Targa (with 1982 3.0L drivetrain) ************************ My project! |

did you look to see if all the headnuts are still where they're supposed to be? otherwise, i wouldn't worry much, because the majority of engines have a small seepage somewhere.
