SC Dash Knobs - Can you remove the rosettes?

Hello Pelicans,

Is it possible to remove the headlight rosette from the dash knob?

If so, any specific trick to the removal?

Thanks,
Chris

You mean the rubber piece that covers the knob. On the older cars those were added on top of the knobs on the US cars for "crash safety".
This is what they look like the with rubber caps removed.

I've added this photo for clarity.

Is it possible to remove / swap out the centre rosettes (the cigarette, the foglight or defrost insert)?

If you pull off the rubber it will look like the one I posted. First remove the plastic center piece, then you should be able to just pull off the rubber.
Here is my fog light switch. Looks the same as my headlight knob.

To answer your question, just take a very small screw driver and pry the center out. There is a little lip which you won’t see until you start prying. It is very easy to do and you won’t hurt the rubber piece.
