Show me your twin plug setup...

I have the electromotive ignition set up for my 2.7l twin plug motor. Looking at getting a 12 spark distributor and then sell my current unit. What's out there that's not going to cost me $5k?

Why dont you like the electromotive unit if you already have 12 plugs working?

Good question. I'd like to get a more classic/retro look on my engine bay. But saying that seems crazy to spend $2000plus just for essentially looks.

Agree, the Electromotive stuff is what I recommended in my Engine Rebuld book - good reliable performance with no issues. I would spend your $$$ elsewhere?

This guy has complete set ups, twinplug. I paid $650 for a aftermarket cap & rotor for my Bosch Andial 12 plug distributor from the guy above for my twin plug 3.5 turbo motor. Luckily he had them in stock. Andial charged me $1100.00 back in 2006 for a cap & rotor. A 12 plug wire set costs $325.00 from Clewett. If you want to stay original then you need original 2 cdi boxes. I believe Permatune puts modern electronics in original looking boxes. You also need 2 coils.
On the other hand, I used the dual Electromotive hpv-1 set up in our race car with no issues. Still going strong after 10+ years. I also run the Electromotive xdi on my single plug 930. I went with the xdi because it's a set up and forgot system. The 12 plug set up requires maintenance. The 12 plug set up is not cheap, or are the aftermarket parts. I like the look of the old school 12 plug set up, but I'd opt for the Electromotive.

Thanks guys. As the cost of this project has exploded I guess this is one area where I can use what I had before and save money.
