Question strange electrical issues, turn signal switch???

my new to me 1980 SC

-cardboard shoved in turn signal switch to lock on High Beam, so that shows some issues I know, but question is would it have effect on any of these?

1) no driver front running or turn signal, does have driver maker light
2) neither front turn signals work, rears do
3) no driver side rear brake light, but passenger does work

-took all items apart (did find some bad grounds) but can't find anything else wrong

-all fuses are wring out good

ideas from our fleet of geniuses on PP??

thanks,

Steve

experienced the same

theres some good articles on repairing turn stalk , i would suggest start there...if that doesnt work, you really have to check all grounds..in my case it was the driver parking lamp that was not grounded and created havoc with turn signals working as well as intermittent brake light

let us know what you find :-)

The horns are probably out of adjustment. Check this article out:

ok didn't get to the turn signal switch yet, did do some of the fuses and have more items working, found I need a new battery as one in there is too small and has no lower lip to grab the hold down clamp, going to tackle horn next, thanks again to all that helped
