Removing drivers seat

I am hoping someone can advise me on how to disconnect the wires from under the drivers seat on an ‘88 911. I’ve taking the rail bolts out and have the seat tilted back. Under the seat I see multiple wires but it seems there are only two that need to be disconnected. I see no obvious junctions to disconnect them to remove the seat (replacing carpet). I have the combination manual and electric seat. Any help is appreciated. This is my first Porsche and loving every minute of it. Thank you.
Ruxin

There are always connectors that can be disconnected to remove the seats. Look closer to the seats and perhaps post pictures.

Take pictures BEFORE you disconnect the seats. It may save you a lot of hassle when you go to put them back in.

The 2-terminal connector above is for the seat belts. The seat motors have a rectangular 8 position connector, 2x4 I think, near one of the motors (motor on the left in picture above). Since yours is part manual seat control, not all of the connector pins are needed, so you should only have 6 pins.

There was an alarm system in mine that had some odd looking wiring which went to a switch pad that was wedged between the zigzag springs and the foam.

Removing the set was a PITA that I never figured out.
Weird hidden wiring connectors that are impossible to detach, etc.
This may help you.
Front seat removal. How do you disconnect the power cable ?

This was a nightmare that I could not get apart.
You may need a 3rd hand from a helper.

It is NOT a PITA if you have done if before. I will say there is good advise in this thread. The main connector (larger dia. wire loom) has the large headed plug that runs the motors. The smaller wire is the seat belt connection. At least that is how my 88 coupe was connected.

Squeeze the two tabs on the side, pull apart.

Put a towel across the passenger seat, lower emergency brake and collapse the driver seat back forward. Then you can tilt the top of the driver seat over onto the passenger seat while wires are still connected. That is a much easier way to see what needs to be disconnected/reconnected than tilting the seat back up.
The seats are heavy.
But much easier to remove/put back in with a cabriolet. . .just saying.
