Pop out window trim

I am converting an old race car back to a street car and most of the original parts like trim and seals are just piled in a box. Can someone show me a picture of what the pop out window trim looks like (maybe a closeup picture)? I am looking for the trim that holds the headliner in place when the windows are out.

Is there any other trim pieces besides that piece?

Thanks in advance

What year is it?

The pop out window frames to my understanding are interchangeable, however the SWB cars originally had chrome plated brass trim, and the LWB and impact bumper cars had polished aluminum.

I’ll post pics of mine when I get home, but the lower trim is interesting. The pop out trim piece is wider than the fixed one, and the SWB cars used pegs to attach the trim to the body, and the LWB ones were again aluminum and attached with screws.

The headliner is just held in with crimp strip, same as VWs, it’s cheap, like $3 a foot.

Should have said this is on a 1972 911

Thanks again

I can tell you that the strip above only goes around the window where the metal trip plat that goes across the bottom of the window IS NOT. I put the rubber trim above around whole wind, then put the metal base down and it sticks up too much and made the wind bind. then I was lucky enough see an original 74 takes apart and saw that the factor did not put that strip under the metal.

That's kind of what I was thinking. When I put it along the entire bottom of the window the chrome trim seemed like it was so high that it may interfere with the window. I think I will run it from the end of the chrome trim to the top corner to hold the headliner.

There are two strips. The longer strip runs along the top of the window opening, holding the headliner and curving at the rear down to the metal plate/cover that is screwed down along the bottom. The shorter piece runs vertically down the B-pillar and holds the black vinyl on the B-pillar.
