Theoretically would this work?

With all this talk of seats, I was wondering..

Theoretically could you directly bolt a seat out of a boxster into an earlier car... i.e. my 1980 SC? Or a set of GT2 seats?

What changes about different seat mounting? is it just the bolt hole spacing, so all you would have to do is drill a different set of holes in the track?

Just my curiosity...

Chuck

Probably not what you want to hear but:

Theoretically you could put any seat in there. I installed 2002 ford superduty seats in my 1987 Jimmy. just a little fabrication and in they went. fit like they were meant to be there.

I actually had a Chrysler 300M drivers seat in my 911 for a while, i got it from a friend and had some free time so i threw together some brackets and in it went. I never drove with it in just screwed around with it and eventually pitched it.

Being a porsche product they might fit but i doubt they would directly bolt in. A little welding, drilling, grinding and a BFH i think you could get them in there.
