Speedometer/Odometer Stepper Motor
Anyone know if there is a source for the stepper motor with the worm gear that drives the odometer in our speedometers? I took my speedometer apart after an odometer failure expecting to find the proverbial broken gear but that was not the case.
I just bench tested the speedometer, and while the speedometer needle moves as it should throughout the full range, the stepper motor that drives the odometer remains fixed and does not move. Is there a replacement option (without having to send out to NHS or the likes)? Another item of note, the trip reset only resets the tens, single, and decimal digits. The hundredths digit counts up as normal but does not reset back to zero when the reset button is depressed. Perhaps a broken internal spring? Any input is appreciated!
