Defrost Hose Source
I need to repair/replace the S-shaped hose that feeds those little side window defrost vents at the outer corners of the dash. The hose is located under the hood, just behind the hood shocks. The factory hose is mostly petrified paper and at least one of mine is torn. Duct tape is not my preferred solution. The hose is about 1.5-inches in diameter. Where can I find some flexible hose that would work for this?

The only problem with SCEET and SCAT duct is that it comes in 1/4" I.D. increments above 1", and our hoses are all sized in mm. So most of the time your SCEET hoses are going to be a little loose.
I got sick of fiddling with the wire ribs and loose SCEET hoses, so what I now do, rather than buy all the pre-cut factory hoses, is to determine the diameter i need and then find the longest length hose in PET with that diameter. Usually the price will be nearly the same regardless of length. For example: 91157122800 is 36mm x 390mm long, and lists for $10.25 91157320400 is 36mm x 1 meter long, and lists for $10.75. At $10.75/meter, the factory hose is cheaper than SCEET also.

You guys are giving me hope. I thought this hose was NLA, and that there is not a reasonable substitute. I do not understand the acronyms or availability, so I hope for your advice based on what I want. Perfectly fitting hose that is easy to install is my preference. Remember, this hose has to bend into a short, sharp S-shape. If the proper diameter hose is not readily available, then it seems to me a slightly larger diameter makes sense. I can shim the male fittings using duct tape (aviation endurance racing duct tape of course) and put a hose clamp on if necessary.
Just tell me what to order. Please. Thank you.

Note also the SCAT and SCEET tubing are thin and will not hold heat/cold very well. If you can find tubing that has silver insides, like much of the factory tubing on my '75, it will do a better job. For my side vents I used "carburetor heat tubing."
