The following posts are of some interesting videos...
While visiting Gus at PFI last year to pick up my 2.8 and 3.0 RSR pumps, I took the time to shoot some videos. This is one of them---Gus explains the differences between the 911 RSR and the more common 911 street injector.

To compliment the above video...
I included a link to this photo earlier, but here is the photo... ![]() The stubby-body fuel injector on the right in this photo is a "Mercedes Benz" unit---that said, it is also the same internally as a 911 street fuel injector. The MB injector was used in this photo only to show the cross-section of the 'floating needle' design inside the injector when compared to the "guided" needle of the RSR. We didn't have a cross-section of an RSR fuel injector to show. While on the subject... The 911 street injectors don't usually stick like the racing RSR injectors since those 'float'. The RSR injector, like a valve and guide in an engine head is 'guided' with a tight tolerance. When the fuel dries-up between the needle-guide and the needle, the RSR injector will stick. Truly a BPITA to get the RSR injectors cleaned and working again. You have to keep those RSR fuel injectors clean---there is on-going maintenance.

911 RSR vs. 911 Street Fuel injector, atomization comparison photos...
![]() ![]() So my theory is that you could actually spray someone squarely in the eye from 10’ away using an RSR fuel injector, but not so much with the 911 street injector.

Testing a 3.0 Liter RSR MFI Pump at high RPM's...
Another short video. This is my 911 RSR BOSCH MFI 3.0 Liter Racing pump being tested on the dyno for operation at the higher RPM range---where these pumps usually live while in service.
MFI pumps always run at 1/2 the rpm speed of the engine. When a race engine is wound-up to 8,500 rpm, the RSR pump would be turning 4,250 rpm. At the higher operating rpm range, a 911 RSR racing pump is expected to work reliably and cannot be allowed to 'float' its pistons. It is for this reason that heavy-duty springs are also used. This RSR pump was spun above 5,000 rpm. Take a look… What we did not see in the video is that the RSR pump continued to work properly at the 5,000+ rpm while providing the proper fuel delivery and pressure.

911 RSR BOSCH 'DV 0460' Racing Fuel Injector Flow Testing / Matching
Gus at PFI swapping the Test-Fuel Injectors in his Dyno for my 911 RSR fuel Injectors so that he can flow-test each and every one of them. Because I was fortunate to have collected several of these now rare RSR parts over the years, and having more than one complete set, we were able to match six RSR injectors as a set to the 3.0 liter RSR MFI pump.
With all the noise from the Dyno running, it is difficult to hear Gus. The reason he was actuating the RSR pump throttle-lever was to manually increase fuel delivery in an effort to eliminate the initial onset of foam in the test fluid shown in the video at each injector reservoir. This is required to obtain an accurate injector flow-reading. By the way, and in case you're wondering... A non-flammable fluid is used in the Pump Dyno, not REAL fuel---for obvious safety reasons. Not all the work that went on was capture in this video, but you get the gist of it. Funny to see that 70's era monochrome CRT...

A 'throw-back' photo--from when I acquired it many years ago. You can get a pretty good idea of the 'before' and 'after'.

DYNO FLOW CHARTS / 2.8 RSR & 3.0 RSR BOSCH MFI Pumps
Gus at PFI explains the dyno flow-charts for both my 2.8 and 3.0 RSR BOSCH pumps. In the video we also have a chance to see each respective 'space-cam' (the mechanical computer program of a racing pump) on a side-by-side comparison.

Using a simple jig, Gus at PFI tests 911 RSR factory fuel injectors. Towards the end of the video a comparison is made between the common 911 street injector and its RSR counterpart. During the test, BAR opening pressure and spray-patterns are clearly visible. Take a look...

Armando, I've viewed your post at least 20 times, what a great for sale display & description of your 3.0 RSR race engine. Along with very informative videos of Gus sharing MFI information to all. Great Job. Hope you have a successful sale soon.
This "Bumps" for you.
