Question CD Ignition Tach Problems??

Has any one added a CD ignition like a Matk Ten and had problems with the electric tachometer? What was the fix?

Where did you mount the CD unit?

Thanks

Ron

Tach Not Working Now

I installed a Delta Mark Ten-B CD unit last night and re-gapped the plugs, all according to the instructions. Now I need to figure out how to get my tach working again.

Anyone have this problem before with CD units? What was the fix?

thanks,
Ron D

Re-read the instructions for the 100th time and figured out I need to relocate the wire to the tach. It should have been put on the + coil lug not theterminal strip.

Here is a picture of the installed CD unit.

A noticable improvement in starting and idle, what a difference I just turn the key and it starts without pumping the gas pedal. WOW!

Thanks,
Ron

dont know if this will help but with my msd I had to run the tach wire (black/purple that went to the coil - side directly to the dist points, so I now have two wires from the dist points because with the msd you eliminate the wire from the coil directly to the points and the tach needs to pick up info from the points to work, then it worked just fine.
