Do I Need A Special Tool To Remove The Rear Spark Plugs?

I read somewhere (don't remember where) that I need a special socket setup in order to remove the rear spark plugs from my 69 912's engine. Is this true? If so where do I get it?

This seems odd though, maybe I am just
"un"-wishful thinking
