Help, my 1968 912 weber conversion wont start!

Help me! I recently converted my 1968 912 from solex 40s to weber 44IDFs new out of the box. It started at first and ran fine for a few min. then it slowed down and died. And now it does nothing. I belive it its flooding out at idle. it may have somthing to do with the air at idle. I dont know. I adjusted the float level(they were way off). It still wont start. The timing is fine ,the valves are fine, and its getting spark.it just wont do a thing now. I even repaced the trans ground strap just for fun and hopes that it would make a difference. Please help fast! i was suppose to go on a cross country trip and i replaced the old solexes to avoid problems. but just cause more!!

IS it flooded?Spin engine over is fuel spilling into the barrel?Disonnect fuel lines plug them.Hold pedal to floor spin engine keep your foot on the floor do not pump the gas.You want to flush the cylinders with air.If it starts up clean out by reving it up.if you can keep it running try putting your hand over each airhorn you want the vacuum to pull any blockages out off the jets.Steve
