Post Residue on windshield

Hello Again,

I am trying to figure out what the residue is on the inside of my windshield and back window. I have cleaned with different glass products and wiped with a clean cloth that doesn't have any cleanser and it comes back. What is it and what will make it go away?

Its from the vinyl dash. I have the same problem on my car and the only sollution is to clean it with glass cleaner every week.

If you park the car under cover you can leave a window open a little to help reduce the vapors from the plasticizers in the vinyl. In cars as old as ours you would think the vinyl should would be gassed out. Cig smoke and oil vapors can fog the inside as well. Invisaglass, a spray can type glass cleaner works very well at cleaning stubborn gunk.

Thanx for the input. I recently covered the dash with new vinyl. This must be what it is from.
