threaded shifter???????

my shift knob is threaded and so is the shifter....... is this an aftermarket shifter? any input would be helpful.......

My car has a wood shifter knob that is held on with set screws. No threads. I checked The 911 & 912 Porsche Authenticity book and Dr. Johnson states that the threaded knob was used through '67 and after that press fit knob and fitting were used.
