Red face NPR 86mm PISTON HELP

I have dissassembled my engine and finally unfroze the #1 piston from the barrel.Total time was probably around 5 hours with an air hammer, several blocks of wood, 4 different hammers, a breaker bar and mabey a few other tricks I wont share The original 86mm NPR pistons look really good all around- not many miles on them. Trouble is, I had that one cylinder that had been corroded for a LONG time. So- I am going to try and save the bore but the piston is ruined and I need a replacement. I am already going to spnd $225 on a new set of rings and really want to find an exact match of a used 86mm NPR to replace the bad piston. If anyone has one please let me know.

Another major concern is the cracks in the combustion chambers. Each one has a crack in the usual place- from the spark plug hole to the inlet valve seat. Not horrific cracks but they are noticeable. One has been worked with a punch already to stop its progression. How deadly are these cracks and how reliably can they be repaired? Any secrets of how to do it from those who have suffered this fate?

Buff, you have a great porsche cylinder head guy right under your nose. Len Hoffman at Hoffman Machine is somewhere in your area. If you need his number just give me a ring in the office at 815-472-2939 and i'll search through the rolodex. He can get them just right.
