NPR 86mm PISTON HELP
I have dissassembled my engine and finally unfroze the #1 piston from the barrel.Total time was probably around 5 hours with an air hammer, several blocks of wood, 4 different hammers, a breaker bar and mabey a few other tricks I wont share
 The original 86mm NPR pistons look really good all around- not many miles on them. Trouble is, I had that one cylinder that had been corroded for a LONG time. So- I am going to try and save the bore but the piston is ruined and I need a replacement. I am already going to spnd $225 on a new set of rings and really want to find an exact match of a used 86mm NPR to replace the bad piston. If anyone has one please let me know. Another major concern is the cracks in the combustion chambers. Each one has a crack in the usual place- from the spark plug hole to the inlet valve seat. Not horrific cracks but they are noticeable. One has been worked with a punch already to stop its progression. How deadly are these cracks and how reliably can they be repaired? Buff, you have a great porsche cylinder head guy right under your nose. Len Hoffman at Hoffman Machine is somewhere in your area. If you need his number just give me a ring in the office at 815-472-2939 and i'll search through the rolodex. He can get them just right.

Call the usual places Easy, Parts Heaven, etc...and there a places on the east coast that has good deals, they sell on Ebay, but can't remember their name right now
I got one piston for $10 a while ago.
