Mount Bracket for VW engine
Hi. I just bought a 1966 912 with VW engine. It was for sale because few weeks ago the engine fixing bolts break and engine fall 10 cm (don't touch ground beaucause the dynamo touch the transverse bar and retain the engine). In fact , the system of bracket made to fix the engine looks unclever and even with new bolts, It wouldn't give good job.
Do someone have picture or scheme of good and solid mount bracket for VW engine in a 912 ? |

I recently saw a pic of a conversion on theSamba.com in the Porsche forums. A guy had a T1 VW engine mounted with the stock Bus engine hanger. He a had the engine hanger mounts welded below the engine tray on his 912. The mounting bar fit just like a stock bus would with the rubber mounts and all. By far the cleanest install of a T1 motor I have seen. It looked a lot easier that trying to fab up a new hanger bar to fit the 912 engine mount location.
