Yet another Weber question,Help.

Here's the deal, bought a set of 40IDF carbs from a VW guy(sandrail used at sea level) to replace the stock(missing) Solex's. How many times have you heard that before? Anyway's, set-up is way wrong for car, any info on a good starting point as far as venturis, jets, air correction and emulsion tubes, etc.
Heres the basics of the car....
Stock 1968 912
050 dist.
Accel super coil
Crane Fireball XR3000
Weber 40IDF-oops, you already knew that
Bursch exhaust
Car lives in Wa. state @ approx. 2300' above sea level
Thanks very much for any ifo, I really appreciate it.
Dale
