Why only FRONT coilovers for 912?

I'm planning a coilover conversion on my 1967 912 and I'm obviously not a suspension guy... I want to do a coilover so that I can adjust the firmness and ride height.

The kits I see are only for the fronts?

Please don't chastise me if this turns out to be a stupid question.

and thanks in advance!

The reason why it becomes difficult to get rear coil-overs has more to do with the fact that the spring plates on a 67 are shorter by 2.2 inches, All of the kits for coil-overs are for cars with the LWB. If you can shorten the spring plates with the same profile you can use the coil overs on the rear.

I am in the process of drawing a setup for our SWB in AutoCad now when it's done I will forward you a copy it will look like the pics below. I am in the process of redoing the set-up in the rear of my car because in my opinion mine are very sloppy looking. These are from a company in the UK and they claim they can fit both wheelbases

Clint can do something very similar. He has a pair in stock right now, I believe.

I was afraid of that. He is very busy and needs someone to answer his phone to get customer messages to him. I will do my best to get him to contact you.

I talked to Clint and told him to check his email. Let me know if you need more help. He said he has a setup that will work for you.

Hey mark

interested in your CAD fie also when complete. Seen Rebel Racing parts before looks good. Still interested to know how the 935 spring plates suit 66-89 model cars? I have heard cannot remember where of other people modifying rear suspension on SWB with LWB parts??

Cheers

Michel

You can shorten LWB spring plates to be SWB length.

Clint does not think there will be any issues with your setup. When I talked to him yesterday he said he saw your email in his inbox and was about to respond.
