Hello,
I just got a 1967 912 and discovered those plugs in the rear shelve and on the side rear panels and was wondering what is, was the purpose ?? I think than someone from the board would have the answer. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

They were for the safety belts harness.

Many thanks for that valuable information, as there is also some plugs at the usual place on the rear seats for the usual rear seat belts I couldn't see why they would have 8 plugs in total !

3 point belts
the bolt holes over the rear wheel wells are for front seat 3-point belts, a factory option. (the factory also offered a two-point using the back bolt but haven't seen one)
not familiar with the back shelf bolt holes, maybe they are for rear 3-point belts
