Hi,
I'm new to this forum and I'm considering buying a 912. I hope to test drive one soon but, in anticipation of that, I was wondering if anyone could offer their opinions on the handling of the 912 (late 60's/early 70's). I've driven 911s before, and know the 912 is slower, but what's your overall experience? Thanks in advance. Best, Tom |

The 912 will be more neutral than the 911. The weight balance is 45/55, and in acceleration is not much slower than a 911T. A well setup 912 will outrun much more powerful 911s at an autocross or a twisty enough racetrack. My stock, swaybarless 912 had way too much body roll but was still quite fun running up canyons. The brakes are great. But don't forget, there may be 200 less lbs. behind the rear axles than a 911, but the rear end will come around in a hurry if the driver makes a bonehead move.
