69 912 in Denver.. no engine numbers

Anyone go look at this car? Been on Craigs for awhile so I thought I'd take a look. $9500 ask. Cons -a 'ran when parked' car, last run about Y2K -no engine numbers -missing vin tag at b pillar? -will need front pan replaced -warpy cracky dashy -left fender replaced but surface rust on non-prepped underside -can't talk to owner... must go through 'friend' -no records Pros -car seems fairly complete -car seems solid everywhere else with a paint bubble or two -orange color, fair repaint -been stored inside

I went to see this car today, brought a battery. He let me disconnect the carbs and turn it over. Engine has compression and seems to turn fine. We rolled the car out of the garage so i could get a better look. Other than the rust on the driverside front pan and surface rust under the rear seats, the car appears to be solid. Not sure why the #'s are missing, are you suspecting anything shady?
