Greetings from the German Autofest!

Mark your calendars! On September 14th & 15th, 2002, the German AutoFest will again host one of the largest gatherings of Porsche® automobiles in the world, with SIX World Class Porsche-only Events for all years and all model Porsches. Included is the Worlds largest Porsche-only Industry Show, a Peoples Choice Concours and a Judged Concours, an International Literature, Model & Mobilia Show, an indoor Porsche® For Sale Corral, a huge two-day Swap Meet and this year only, the Speedster Fest 2002! Add in some seminars by Bruce Anderson and Dale Miller, plus new product demos, the 'Main Street' awards, a charity auction and Speedster Parade and it all equals a weekend not to be missed. Expect two days of Porsche®-overload at the German AutoFest.

This event is held at Seaside Park, which is on the water's edge in beautiful Ventura, California. Ventura is one hour north of Los Angeles and one half hour south of Santa Barbara, and is among the most inviting of Southern California's coastal communities.

West Coast 912 Owners are coming! If you have one show up. We are organizing a meeting point for all 912 owners. If possible, we will have a 912 Corral. We'll post here if it works out. Some of us are coming up the morning (Leaving LA area @ about 6AM) of the 14th and will be there all day. I suggest that we meet at 12:00. Most of us will be there much earlier just to see what we can see. I will figure out a spot for a meeting and will repost here. This event is not to be missed! It just doesn't get any better. Be there!

I've been in touch with Bob Campbell of the German Auto-Fest, who has invited us 912 owners to attend and have a display area/ corral set aside for us as a group.

Bob needs to know how many 912s will be attending, and coordinate our arrival time, display area, etc. with us. As Jeff Trask suggested, making this a day trip on the 14th and staying all day makes sense.

So please respond to this e-mail and indicate if you intend to be there, and your ETA. I will be speaking to Bob again and get more details about a corral location, etc.
