Save a '69 912?
I thought this car would be cut up for donor metal, but it almost seems clean enough that somebody might save it. Maybe make a good race car?
Take a look at these pictures and give me your thoughts on whether this car is savable. Somebody did some iffy rust repair in places, but the car is pretty solid. There is some surface rust inside the pan, but otherwise there is no rust. What would you say is fair value? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Defintely saveable. It is so far stripped it might be worth $1000. It needs so much in the way of parts that whether someone builds a racecar, a rat rod or restores it it will need $10k in parts at a minimum unless some pcar junkie just has all that stuff sitting around.

Thanks Matt. I went ahead and posted it for sale here on Pelican for $1000, including front and rear glass and two additional doors from a '67. I guess the SWB doors fit a LWB car. Hopefuly somebody can do something with it. I hated to cut up a chassis for parts when it could potentially see the road again.

It would be perfect for the Group R. There are folks that could change it into a 911 without loosing another perfect 912.
