Question Wheel Lugs

Does anyone know if you can replace a rear wheel lug without removing the wheel hub on a 69?

Is there enough room to press out the old lug and press in a new one into the wheel hub?

I need to replace one right rear wheel lug. Any special tools needed? I think my screw press tie rod remover will press it out.

Thanks,
Ron D

Hello,I can't answer your question, because I'm at work, but lets just say you"could". I would be very careful as to how you would remove it,in other words ,don't pound on it ,press it out with a smaller bolt from the rim side and a C-clamp and a deep socket on the other side to recieve the broken stud Just might work

Thumbs up

Steve:
That's a good idea if there is enough room in back of the lug somewhere aroung the hub rotation path.

Thanks,
Ron
