912e shifter
on my 1976 912e the gear shifter seems overly loose, especially moving from 2nd to 3rd gear, often producing a grinding noise before it engages. Suggestions please.

Check your shifter coupler and the bushings on the shift rod itself

On my 912 the shifter was a bit sloppy I rebuilt it (a few of the parts were badly worn) - the shifter is assembly shares parts with the 914 (on my car at least).
