I have had two E's, and will be getting #3 soon (i hope) KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !!!!!
Thank you!

Haven't had much time to drive it lately but next project is getting the heat back in working order.

I agree when it is all working correctly its a really sweet setup! It was about 40 degrees the other morning when I started it to drive it to work and it fired right up and idled smooth. Have around 750 miles on the rebuild, once I hit 1000 its oil change and valve adjustment time then I can really go rip it around some backroads. Such a great and rewarding feeling when an old car runs well.

Making some changes before Werks Reunion and Luftgekhult. Found a nice set of 15x7 cookie cutters right down the road from me so I picked those up. I had hit the 1000 mile mark on the fresh engine so I changed the oil and adjusted the valves. Also got the heat control flaps working smooth and to my astonishment both blower motors work and don't make noise! Score. Since the 15x7 cookies will look stupid at normal US height I decided it was time to lower this thing so pulled the rear apart and reindexed to 32 degrees. The stock plates sat at 38 degrees despite everything I read saying they were originally set at 39. I deduced this was probably to accommodate for the less weight of the 4 cyl. Losing 6 degrees should get me anywhere from 1.65" to 2.13" lower than stock. I'm going to set the front level with the rear and see how it looks. Next week is alignment then a shakedown drive then 9 hours on the trailer to Werks Reunion. Very excited to finally bring a Porsche to this!

New all metal roof rack I've been working on-

Set the spring plate angle at 32 degrees in the rear, gave me about 25.5" at the fender, front is about 26".

Got the cookies on, went with 205/60/15 Falken Sincera. Nothing special performance wise but the price was right and they look good. Alignment specs are -.6 front camber, -.01 toe, -1.6 rear camber, 0 toe. Tires fit great, no rubbing.... not much prep left before the 1200 mile round trip to Werks Reuinon!

Saw your car at Werks. Great to finally see an “E” there. Hopefully I will drive mine next year.
Did you fabricate your roof rack? Looks great.

Thank you, I couldn't have been the only E in attendance right? I looked for more but didn't find any. Had to be 800+ cars there.

Concerning the rack, yes I make those. Working on a couple right now.

I have been every year and yours is the first to attend. What do you sell the roof racks for - assuming you sell them?

I do sell them, I usually charge $600. I can do all metal like the one at the show or a wood slat version. Just finished one with teak slats.

I see the picture didn't load again, part of the reason I hate this site.
