912E fuse identity

Hi I just picked up #163. I am looking for help indentifying the fuses up front. I did some searching but can't seem to find o good diagram. Thanks for any help offered. Keith.

Hi Keith and welcome to the forum! I'm attaching a link to an earlier thread where there is a good diagram of the fuses - I hope you find it helpful.

Thanks, it's a 912E. I forgot I had the owners manual, same page as WFBowen. Mine is a 912E and only has 18 fuses the manual shows 21. May have to get the meter out and start flipping switches.

Is there suppose to be a cover that may have the fuses listed on It? A photo of that may help me.

The cover has labeling for each fuse on the inside. You can order a new one with part number 91161216101

I went through the wiring diagram in the workshop manual for the 912E and this is what I've come up with:

From front to back:

Fuse 1: none (for fog lights)
Fuse 2: (yellow, 5A) rear licence plate lights
Fuse 3: (yellow, 5A) front and rear parking lamps, right
Fuse 4: (yellow, 5A) front and rear parking lamps, left
Fuse 5: (white, 8A) low beam, right
Fuse 6: (white, 8A) low beam, left
Fuse 7: (white, 8A) high beam, right
Fuse 8: (white, 8A) high beam, left; high beam indicator light
Fuse 9: (yellow, 5A) front turn signal, right
Fuse 10: (yellow, 5A) front turn signal, left
Fuse 11: (red, 16A) brake lights, flasher relay, back up lights
Fuse 12: (blue, 25A) rear defogger relay, rear defogger indicator light, fresh air blower
Fuse 13: (blue, 25A) windshield wiper motor, windshield washer pump
Fuse 14: (red, 16A) electric sunroof if installed, otherwise none
Fuse 15: (red, 16A) cigarette lighter, light for blower motor switch
Fuse 16: none (for power windows)
Fuse 17: (red, 16A) emergency flasher
Fuse 18: (yellow, 5A) interior lights, clock

So pretty much the same as the owners manual except the 912E doesn't have headlight washers, factory AC or a fuse for the fuel pump.

Thank you. As a new Porsche 912E owner I find other owners are very friendly and helpful. I look forward to meeting another 912E owner to compare cars, I briefly met someone close by me in CT before I tool ownership if this one.
